What is Kraamzorg?
Kraamzorg is a unique Dutch system of postnatal care, providing professional support to families in the first 8 days after birth. A Kraamverzorgende (maternity nurse) visits your home daily to monitor the health of both mother and baby, assist with newborn care, support feeding, and help with light household tasks. The goal is to ensure a safe, supported, and gentle transition into parenthood—so you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby in confidence and comfort.
